I was teaching a yoga class and I just felt off not really sure what was going on but I did hear this voice say go take a yoga class today and listen. So thats what I did and the only way I can begin to describe how I felt the entire class is a sense of being completely overwhelmed. As I stood in tree pose I felt a wave of emotion fill my entire being, tears began to well up in my eyes and I kept thinking, what the heck is going on but the thing is I couldn't stop it. The rest of the day I just felt really emotional and out of sorts. I went to yoga the next day and the same thing happened again and I had a hard time balancing. In Svasana I asked my higher power for clarity and I added like I always do "in a healthy positive way" ( always watch what you ask for) give me a clear sign on what I need to do. I walked out of class and the teacher looked at me and said, "Lisa, you really need to slow down" I laughed and said, Oh I know" she said "no, I mean it!" O.k I thought, wow, you work quick, referring to my higher power. Then she said it a third time and I knew I had to make a shift that day. I went home and chilled! I did things that I like and that make me relax and feel good, I cooked and read a great book. I met my friend at yoga two days later and shared with her what I was going through and of course she completely understood, thank you Rhonda. During savanna this time I cried the whole time with a towel over my face, not holding anything back, felt great!
We went to lunch then shopping and we laughed and told crazy stories, it was just what I needed. Permission to Chill!
Over the past few weeks I have read, cooked, walked, ran, yoga, meditated, laughed a lot, dinner and a movie with my hubby and kids, cooked with my hubby, lunched with my mom, sister, amy and her friend, shopping and lunch with Amy, dinner /comedy evening, went to driving range and had a great Easter with my In-laws and my brother.
Instead of writing a to-do list of chores write one of all things that create happiness in your life, and give yourself Permission to Chill!
